KITcube is the integrated atmospheric observation system of the institute of Meteorology and Climate Research Troposphere Research at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
KITcube observes atmospheric processes from the micro to the meso scale, that is from a few meters up to about 100 kilometers. A high temporal and spatial resolution is achieved by synergetically combining modern remote sensing techniques with conventional in situ measurements. The main research focus is on boundary layer processes, convection, and atmospheric transport processes particularly in complex terrain.

Long-term measurements of the 200 m high KITcube-tower, precipitation measurements with the C-Band-Radar, as well as photometer measurements, and automated cloud observations complement the mobile KITcube system.
